Thread creation error in Xenomai platform

After executing for some time (~6hrs) on the IPC (running Xenomai 2.6.5, in Linux 3.4.6) the creation of the thread to check network connectivity fails, reporting the following error:
[err IOEventNotifier] could not create thread: -12
